Solving technical challenges – it’s what we do….

We were contacted this week by a new customer who was struggling to solve a breakdown on one of their guillotine machines.

This is a cut to length guillotine machine used  in the production of medical dressings.

The machine OEM is no longer in business and most of the electrical components are obsolete.

Just to keep things interesting, there was no electrical schematic drawings available.

Using an oscilloscope our technician identified the problem with timing pulses between the encoder counter card and driver card that fires the clutch / brake.

The machine was repaired and is now back on production.
